About Booklu

Booklu is operated by Akonita Pvt Ltd, 148, Galle Road, Mount Lavinia, Sri Lanka (“Booklu”, “we”, “us”). By using booklu.com you agree to these terms.

Our role

Booklu is a marketplace that lets event hosts sell tickets to buyers. The host is responsible for the event, including its content, safety and delivery as described on the event page. Booklu provides the event page, checkout and ticketing, and is not the organiser of events listed by hosts.

Buying tickets

• Prices are shown in Sri Lankan rupees (LKR). Buyers pay the ticket price shown, with no added booking fee.
• Payments are processed securely by PayHere.
• Each ticket has a unique QR code that admits one person, once. Do not copy or share your tickets.
• We may cancel tickets bought fraudulently or resold in breach of the host’s conditions.

Refunds

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Hosting events

• Hosts must be approved by Booklu before their first event is published.
• Hosts must give accurate event information and hold any permits their event needs.
• Booklu charges hosts a 3% fee on each ticket sold. Payment processing fees charged by PayHere are also deducted from the host’s payout.
• Payouts are sent weekly to the host’s bank account after the event has taken place.
• If an event is cancelled, the host’s takings are used to refund buyers.

Personal data

We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Liability

To the extent allowed by law, Booklu’s liability to a buyer is limited to the amount paid for the tickets concerned. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Sri Lankan consumer protection law.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction.
